There was a time when creating the images I saw in my mind felt nearly impossible. I’d collect tear sheets from fashion magazines and lay them across my floor, studying the lighting, the mood, the drama. I knew what I loved, but I didn’t have the resources to make it real. I was told, like many artists are, that financial struggle was just part of the creative path. And for a long time, I believed that.
Back then, producing even one concept meant finding a photographer, a model, a crew, a studio. Eventually, I worked on sets as a makeup artist and stylist, but I never felt fully independent.
Now, everything has changed. With tools like MidJourney and Runway, I can prompt what I see in my head and bring it to life. I don’t have to wait for a team or find a location. I can create from anywhere, on my own terms.
I know this shift in technology brings up complicated feelings about creative jobs, but for me, it's also opened a door that was shut for decades. I'm finally able to express the visions I’ve carried for so long. This isn’t just about images. It’s about expressive freedom, trust in my voice, and reclaiming what I once thought was out of reach.
